There are many reasons why someone would want to work from home. Appen is a company that focuses on technology such as analyzing data, translations, speech recognition, social media, search engines, and the list goes on. They hire people as independent contractors and pay once a month. With them providing these different services to their clients you can qualify for a number of different projects that are either long-term or short-term for the duration of your contract. 2. Lionbridge
Lionbridge is similar to Appen by providing technology based services to their clients. They offer a variety of different jobs you can do for the duration of your contract an pay once per month. Pay is generally around $10-$16 depending on the task. They are currently hiring for a variety of positions in the United States like Ads Assessor, Internet Safety Evaluator, and Rater. Some listed jobs require you to speak a foreign language.

3. SYKES
SYKES has over 200+ positions that can be done at home. Some of the positions have have varied requirements, but most customer service type positions have the basic requirements such as high school diploma or equivalent, customer service experience, and fluent in English. These type of positions vary and from my research of the different titles you can expect the pay to be anywhere from $11-$13 and they are full-time (40 hours/week), which is great compared to some of the other jobs where the hours fluctuate by demand.
